Résumé:
The nucleation mechanisms behind crystallized products remain mysterious. In this presentation, we present experiments performed using small volumes, microdroplets, to study and control nucleation and thus product properties. Kinetic and thermodynamic effects of small-volume systems on nucleation are presented and discussed.
