Theme C: Functional and Activatable Surfaces
This theme aims to develop hybrid materials exhibiting novel properties (optical, charge transport, reactivity) emerging from the nanostructuring of elementary building blocks (plasmonic, carbon-based, molecular), whose control and analysis can be monitored *in situ* in real time. The projects within this theme leverage the expertise developed at PPSM in designing (meta)materials and in using nanometrology for better tracking of surface chemistry properties and reactivity. These projects seek to open new avenues in energy conversion and storage, the development of multifunctional materials for optics and multicatalysis, as well as *operando* monitoring and analysis for improved control of interfaces.
