Research interests

The research topics developed over the last years at PPSM involve the design, synthesis and study of photosensitive molecular species (organic, organometallic and coordination compounds) whose properties and reactivity can be controlled upon light irradiation. Current evolutions include the photogeneration of chemically active entities for spatially controlled initiation of catalytic polymerization reactions towards biosourced functional materials of potential biomedical interest.
