Title
Design and development of fluorescent sensors for detecting pesticide residues
Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to design and study new microfluidic sensors for detecting these pollutants (glyphosate and its degradation residue, AMPA). In the first stage, new families of fluorescent probes sensitive to the presence of pollutants will be developed. The system will have to be designed in such a way that complexation of the desired species by the probe induces the greatest possible modification of the photophysical properties of the system. We will focus in particular on fluorescent systems based on transition metal complexes capable of interacting specifically with the compounds of interest. In parallel, we want to develop new supramolecular architectures based on cerasomes functionalized by different functions offering a complexation site for glyphosate and AMPA. Finally, we want to incorporate these different nanoobjects into microfluidic systems in order to create sensors that can be used in the field. Finally, the data will be analysed using multivariate statistical analysis to increase the selectivity of the system.
