Clémence Allain awarded with ERC Strarting Grant

In the context of 2016 campaign of fundings by ERC (European Research Council), Clémence Allain is awarded with a grant with her project of mechanofluorochromic compounds study. This work is a part of the research theme C "mechanical stimuli for luminescence and mechanical properties photoswitchable" of PPSM laboratory and combines organic chemistry, spectroscopy and microscopy.

This 2017 CNRS bronze medal researcher was at first interested in s-tetrazines derivatives, which she wanted to integrate inside electro- and/or photo-active materials with high added value. Thanks to this grant of excellence, she take on a new challenge: elaborate mchanicaly stimulable fluorescent materials, ofr the conception of local probes allowing coercive forces measure in real time.

This grant finances PhD and post-doctoral contracts that will be added to the ongoing ones in PPSM.
